Rumors about Nokia entering the Android market has been circulating for few months with different names like Normandy, MView, Asha on Linux Project and Project N. However, since Microsoft has finalized the deal with Nokia, the chances of seeing an Android-powered Nokia phone seemed slim.

According to a recently released report on the Wall Street Journal, Nokia is all set to unveil its first android-powered phone Nokia X at this Mobile World Congress. The report also added credence to multiple rumors that we have been hearing about for past few months.

It was suggested in the report that the Nokia X will take over Asha series as the new budget friendly phone powered with Android OS and equipped with low end specs. The report also supports previous rumors by mentioning that the Nokia X will not offer access to the Google Play and other basic Google apps. Instead, it will come with pre-loaded apps and services of Microsoft and Nokia such as MixRadio, Bing, Here Maps and Skype. Also, the Google Play will be replaced with a Nokia app store in Nokia X.

The previous reports have suggested the specs of Nokia X to be: 1GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 4GB RAM, 4GB storage with microSD slot, 4 inch WVGA display and 5 megapixel rear camera.

Just now, Nokia X or Nokia X A110 has been spotted on Mainguyen.vn website, along with its price. According to the listing the phone may cost around $100 with release date being sometime in March.
